UpStudio Africa offers a range of services to schools across and beyond Tanzania to develop a holistic and creative learning environment for children – with a focus on integrating STEAM, Entrepreneurship and Creatives into professional development, trainings, and expedition opportunities for children.
Expeditions
UpStudio Africa can offer one-to-two hour studios to schools as fields trips. During the expedition to UpStudio Africa, Young Explorers take a tour of the UpStudio Africa space and engage in hands-on learning curated to meet the school’s learning agenda and objectives. Topics are curated in partnership with school leaders and teachers across the following topics:
Professional Development
UpStudio Africa can offer Professional Development support to teachers and support staff across (but not limited to) the following topic areas:
Integrating STEAM, coding, and project-based learning into the existing curriculum for science and other subjects
Designing productive, creative, and inclusive classroom environments
Enhancing student-centered teaching and learning in a classroom
Integrating the design thinking framework into problem-solving
Introducing an Entrepreneurship curriculum
School Design
Schools designed for the 21st Century need to look and feel radically different to be able to nurture the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. We help schools re-imagine and re-design the school environment. We partner with an Architect and Interior Designer, Suhail Jamal, who designed UpStudio Africa and Silverleaf Academy.
