Robotics and Coding
UpStudio Africa’s Robotics and Coding programme leverages different tools to provide hands-on building and coding opportunities for children. Through this program, our Young Engineers and Coders will understand the fundamental principles underlying many programming languages, learn how different robotics mechanisms work, and how to code them to complete several challenges. Children will learn how these technologies are applied, and more importantly, understand how to ethically use these technologies to solve critical challenges within society.
4- 6 YEARS
Level 1: Learning the Basics
For our Level 1 program, we run a series of studios that use unplugged activities (no robot) and Dash – the Robot to understand the very basics of coding!

7 – 9 YEARS
Level 2: Boosting up
For our Level 2 program, we begin to understand the basic mechanisms of making robots work and leverage icon-based programming to learn to code!

10 – 15 YEARS
Level 3: Mindstorm
For our Level 3 program, we dive into motors, color sensors, touch sensors and infrared sensors. We leverage icon-based programming to learn coding in more detail!
